The Well Youth Hub
The Well Youth Hub in Goderich is a welcoming, youth-friendly space for young people ages 12 to 25 and their families. Located at the Kinsmen Centre, The Well Youth Hub offers a safe and supportive environment where youth can drop in, connect with caring adults and peers, and access a range of wellness supports without barriers or long waitlists. Parents often describe it as a place where their teens feel comfortable, respected, and able to be themselves, while youth describe it as somewhere they can just “come as they are.”
Services at The Well Youth Hubs focus on whole-person wellness. Youth can receive support for mental health and emotional wellbeing, school or work stress, life skills, goal setting, and connections to community resources such as counselling, employment supports, health services, and social programs. The approach is informal and relationship-based, meaning youth can drop in for a conversation, participate in activities, or simply spend time in a positive space. Family members are welcome to ask questions or seek guidance as well.
The Goderich site operates as a drop-in hub on Tuesdays from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm at the Kinsmen Centre. Youth do not need an appointment to attend during open hours, and there is no cost to participate.
A key part of the experience at The Well Youth Hub is food and community. Lunch is provided on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kinsmen Centre, and snacks are always available during open hours. Meals are youth-friendly and culturally inclusive, with options that reflect different tastes, dietary needs, and traditions whenever possible. Sharing food together helps create a relaxed atmosphere where conversations happen naturally and everyone feels welcome.
